Before they brought out the digital versions of their tools, we were customers of their reference manuals, which we used to look up job times. I remember that they were the first to digitise the information and we didn’t hesitate at the time of course because we knew that the tool was going to help us increase and improve our work.
The challenge was also about being up there with the insurance and leasing companies that we worked with, because using the same tools would put us on an equal footing, or a very similar one at least.
Multi-brand workshops didn't have estimate systems back then. Only the official brands had them, so being able to evaluate our work in a completely professional manner was a plus for us.
Other challenges came later, such as integration with our management programs, and GT Motive was the first to do that, so we became more agile in our work and we gave a better image when it came to invoicing jobs to customers.
GT Motive offered us an estimates pack for GT Estimate so that we could do quotes and job appraisals. Year after year, we have increased the number of appraisals done at our workshop thanks to the increased production.
From the outset, what we most appreciated was how easy the tool is to use, that they have always covered the vast majority of vehicles on the market and the intricate exploded detail of the vehicles.
Another plus point with GT Estimate is how it integrates with our management programs. This has allowed us to considerably improve our working procedures and helps us to project a good image to customers.

As for the KPIs that it has helped us to measure, the most important one for me is labour. GT Estimate has allowed us to achieve our goals of better labour management since, I repeat, that is what repair workshops make their living from. This is why GT Estimate is so important to us.
Another KPI that we have been able to measure is customer satisfaction, since it gives us an image of professionalism, clarity and confidence with them, whether they be private individuals or insurance or leasing companies.
Overall, we have improved our business with GT Motive, especially since they too are adapting to the changes in workshops, which are becoming faster and increasingly interconnected. Some time ago, we incorporated the VIN Query and identification by license plate features to the tool, which has helped a lot with vehicle identification. This has led to a vast improvement in accurate quotes and replacement part ordering, which has resulted in fewer errors in the whole vehicle repair process.
